Helene M. Lobato, age 82, gained her angel wings on June 11th, 2022 in El Paso, Texas due to natural causes. Born on July 21st, 1939 in Frankfurt, Germany to parents Jakob and Marita, Helene embarked on an adventurous life after marrying Jose A. Lobato, a devoted Air Force soldier and government employee nearly 60 years ago. Although Helene made El Paso, Texas her primary home, she lived in numerous military and government locations in countries including the United States, Germany, Spain, Mexico, and Canada. Throughout four decades, she served selflessly as a health care worker and volunteered for charities that benefitted children, the elderly, and animals.
Helene was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was known for her strong character, reliability, and emphasis on giving to those in need. She expressed love for her family by embracing anyone at a moment’s call and helping in any way she could no matter the circumstance. Helene’s last week of life was beautiful and fulfilling. She had a spurt of happiness and strength, in which she shared cherished phone calls with loved ones, prayed for those in need, and even ate at her favorite local restaurant
.
Helene is survived by her husband Jose A. Lobato, son Lorenzo, daughter Maria, grandchildren Blaise, Ashley, Adam, and Skylar, as well as great-grandchildren Sunny and Ava. Although she is missed by many, she is now embraced in heaven by beloved family, friends, and pets. We will honor her by taking care of everyone in manners she would love and respect. Helene will live forever in our hearts and memories.
