He met the love of his life, Maria Luisa Pacheco in Ysleta, Texas and were married on 22 October 1950.

He and Maria Luisa had 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren

He was a cherished member of the Socorro community known for his great sense of humor and hard work. Some of his various jobs were Constable, Construction worker in the El Paso area, Border Cattle Inspector and raised various animals in his farm in Socorro. He had a love for animals and at times was also a horse breeder. He was also an active member in the Socorro Purisima Catholic Church Mass services until his health kept him from participating.

He instilled a strong work ethic in his children and had an immense love of his family and friends. He was very popular in the Socorro community and many folks came to him for advice and enjoyed his sense of humor. He always captivated the crowd with wonderful, fun stories of his many adventures and day-to-day experiences, especially with his animals.

He was a pilar of strength and a beacon of love. His absence leaves a heartbreaking void in the hearts of our family and friends.
