Beloved child of God, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend was called home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Isidora (Isy) C. Marquez, 95, was born on April 4, 1929 in Rosewell, NM to Dora and Ramon Cardenas. Her siblings were Guadalupe Alvarado, Ramon Cardenas Jr and Virginia Anaya.

Isidora was a born-again Christian and a daughter of God. She would share the gospel and prayer with family and friends during times of need and times of joy. She would love to read Bible and share God's word. Her love and devotion for the Lord our Savior shined through her; providing peace to those around her.

Isy was a beautiful woman. Her dress was sophisticated and created with her own hands often. She was known to make beautiful suits and dresses. Her makeup was marvelous, lovely and effortless--- lipstick and blushed cheeks. She was known for her little hat and her purse.

The furbabies Milo and Milly were always by her side to provide her unconditional love and support. They were her happiness. She use to love whataburger and her meal was a double meat whataburger Jr. One patty was for her and the other was for Milo and Milly. Chiple furbabies. Isidora loved to sing, loud and proud. She would sing and her furbabies would join her, it was a sight to see.

Grandma always welcomed you in and loved you. She would watch us when we were little and it was a special time. English was not her first language but I remember she would take classes to learn English so she could communicate with us Grandchildren (who didn't speak Spanish very well). We would teach each other. No matter the language we always found a way to make it work and understand each other. That was so special.

Isidora always kept herself involved and busy. She was a devoted wife and mother. She helped raise and care for many of her Grandchildren. She volunteered at Thomason Hospital with new mothers. Her talents included making beautiful ceramic pieces, crocheting, drawing and writing. Isy would work on word searches. Grandma had the ability to make things grow. She had beauty all throughout their home. She always had spectacular rose bushes blooming in the yard, pomegranate bushes and big green plants in that backroom. Her children remember her making the best sopa de arroz and enchiladas. Their home was always full of love, laugh and memories.

Isidora joined her husband Edmundo Marquez+ in heaven. She was a mother to George Cardenas+, Blanca Flores (John+), Edmundo Marquez Jr. (Yolanda), Irma Ornelas (Freddy+), Javier Marquez, Gloria Chavez (Danny+), Sergio Marquez (Mary), Heriberto Marquez, Rosa Marquez, Raul Marquez (Gloria), Jamie Marquez+ and Laura Marquez. Grandchildren included: Michael, Bonnie, Cindy, Patrick, Sally, Jason, Ceasar, Jamie+, Veronica, Christine, Freddy+, Stefany+, Monica, Bernadette, Allison, Danielle, Keith, Diana, Savannah, Anthony, AJ, Christopher, Adrian, Nicholas and Timothy. Isidora had 43 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren with 2 more Great Great Granddaughters on the way.

Her favorite saying was aqui yo, siempre yo, y al ultimo yo.
