Christopher Michael Rodriguez, born on September 14, 1972, in El Paso, Texas, passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 51. He was the beloved son of Norma Silva Rodriguez.
Chris grew up in El Paso, where he became known for his magnetic personality and zest for life. A natural storyteller and the life of the crowd, Chris was cherished for his ability to make people laugh and feel welcome. He had a deep love for trucks, starting with his first, a Bronco 2, and leading to his most recent pride and joy, Big Blue—his Chevy truck. Whether off-roading or driving fast, Chris lived for the thrill of the ride. His passion for adrenaline, speed, and freedom was both exhilarating and unforgettable. Behind the wheel, he was a wild spirit, full of energy and fun—often earning the affectionate description, "lunatic behind the wheel," from those who knew him best.
Chris was a carefree soul who always lived life on his terms. His personality was larger than life, and he never conformed to the norm. As his cousin Johnny Rangel often put it, "Pinche Chris"—a phrase that will forever remind loved ones of his unique, lovable character. In the 90s, his friends affectionately called him "Partner" or "Primo," and in his later years, he was known as "Nephew." Chris made friends wherever he went and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Fransisca Balsach, and his mother, Norma Rodriguez Silva.
Chris is survived by his granddaughter, Ariel Macias, daughter, Crystal Macias, and his brother, Enrique Rivera Jr. His memory will live on through his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chris will forever be remembered as a "cool dude" with a big heart, infectious energy, and an unwavering love for life.
