It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Carmen Duran. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday January 30, 2024, at the age of 95.
She was born on July 13, 1928, in Silao Guanajuato, Mexico. Resided in El Paso, Texas since 1950. She was devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe and San Judas Tadeo.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Lucia Galvan, Jesus Gonzalez, Petra Garza. Brothers, Isidro Duran, Constantino Duran, David Duran, Cristino Duran, Alejandro Duran, Andres Duran, Salvador Duran.
Left to cherish her memory are her Daughter Rosa Sandy, Son in Law Mark Sandy, Grandchildren Enrique Tyler Sandy, Maya Michelle Sandy, Summer Leigh Sandy. Her nephews, Rolando Galvan, Ernest Galvan, Francisco Duran, Reymundo Duran, Javier Gonzalez and nieces Mary Hernandez, Marta Saenz, Debbie Duran, Tona Duran, Carolina Carrillo, Bertha Turcios.
My mother dedicated her life to raising myself and to being around all her nephews and nieces and their children as if they were her own. She was the happiest among her grandchildren. Our hearts are broken now, and we will miss you dearly, we take comfort in knowing that you are now with all your loved ones. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
