New Paragraph

La Tía Irene, age 94, passed away April 11th, 2024.

She was born in Miami Arizona, in 1929.

Irene Saucedo Chavez took care of her siblings from a very young age. She was never afraid of the responsibility of taking care of others. She was always a supportive and loving to her many nieces and nephews, and a caring daughter for her Mamá Cuca as well as to her sisters Luciana and Rosa when they became ill.

Irene cuidaba de todos.

La tía Irene worked at the Kress Store located downtown El Paso. To see her, you had to go down to the basement where she sat behind a little window, always with a smile. If you were lucky, she would take you to the downtown Lubys.

La tía Irene was in love with Denzel Washington. She loved to read, go to the movies, and the occasional trip to the casino.

For most of her life, Irene took the bus everywhere.

El 35 was her bus.

She walked all the time.

She walked to the mall, to Juárez, to the store, to visit friends and family.

She loved to walk.

Mi tía Irene era la roca sobre la que esta familia se sustentaba.

Mi tía Irene.

Si el Cielo no le dio hijos, el diablo le dio sobrinos.

Adios Irene.

Ahora caminas en la arena junto a nuestro Señor.

Adios.

Service April 24th 10:30 to 12:30 At San Jose Funeral Home 10950 Pellicano Dr. El Paso TX 79935.

In Loving Memory of our Beloved Delia Montes Delia Montes, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four sons, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Delia was the heart of her family—a quiet force of love and loyalty. She was a beautiful mix of strength and softness—stern when needed, but always leading with unconditional love. Her presence was steady, her heart vast, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
