It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Hugo Gonzalez, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left us on January 26, 2025, at the age of 51. Victor was a man of great passion, resilience, and warmth. He lived his life with enthusiasm, whether it was through his love of running—where he proudly completed several marathons—or through the music that moved his soul. A devoted fan of Widespread Panic and The Grateful Dead, Victor found joy and community in their music, attending countless concerts and embracing the spirit of togetherness that they inspired. Professionally, Victor was a dedicated and accomplished electrician, whose hard work and expertise led him to become the Director of Operations for Check Electric in Naples, Florida. His leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence earned him the admiration and respect of his colleagues. Above all, Victor was a loving father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his son, Hugo Gonzalez; his sisters, Laura, Lulu, and Maribel; and his brothers, Javier and Juan. His presence, joy for life, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Victor’s legacy is one of perseverance, love, and an unwavering zest for life. Though his time with us was far too short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration of his life is planned for February 15, 2025, from 12 pm – 3 pm, at San Jose Funeral Home (Pelicano Dr.), where friends and family can gather to honor and remember him in the way he would have wanted—sharing stories, laughter, and of course, music.
Rest in peace, Victor. Keep on running, and may the music never stop.
