“Gramzie”

Kristy King Wilson

A true earthly Angel, Kristy Diane Wilson “Kiki”, who was perhaps the biggest devoted “groupie” to our loving Jesus Christ started her eternal life in his arms April 9, 2024. Though unexpected, she longed to be with her Savior and poured life and love into all that she could.

Born in El Paso, Texas when there was much more land than construction, Kristy grew up in the lower valley on Nogal Street and was next door neighbors with a real-life version “Mr. Wilson” and a pesky, mischievous 9-year-old boy that despite his angelic appearance, was known as the neighborhood prankster that caused lighthearted chaos and misdoings. Kristy went on to marry the” menace next door” and both graduated from Ysleta High school in 1964 after which Kristy proceeded to attend and graduate from UTEP in the “Summer of ‘69”. Kristy obtained her masters May 2002 in Gifted and Talented Education to reach every student she could. Kristy devoted her life to teaching elementary school and poured her love into many generations of young students and scholars throughout El Paso and beyond. She retired from Ysleta Independent school district after 27 years of service, working her last years at Radford after almost three decades of touching so many young lives.

Kristy’s spirit lives out in the better parts of her close family : her husband, Michael “Mike” Wilson and their three beautiful daughters and families, Michelle & Jack Benham (children: twins Bailey and Brook 29, Brenna 28), Keely & Jerald Reynolds (children: Kaylee 21, Makynzee 20, Preslyee 15, Paislee 9, Kohen 4), Kristal & Rob Anguiano (children: Easton 11, twins Lexi and Luca 10 , Rowyn 5) & great granddaughter to Bailey and Ty Bergman  (Lenora “Lennie”, 4 months).

She rejoices in the arms of her mom and dad, Jimmy and Rose King, mother and father-in-law Fran and Inza Wilson, many other eternal families too numerous to name including dogs and cats curling up on her lap and embracing her with four legged kisses. Her sisters and brother and families Chad and Janet King of Farmington NM, Julie and Elhanan Ben-Avraham of Israel, Rick and Leslee Dendorfer of Lakewood CO will join in her celebration with services on May 25, 2024, at Crosspoint Church at 2pm.

In her last moments she was surrounded by her amazing church Pastor Kerry Boone and the entire Crosspoint church care group who held her up through the better part of the last few years. “Whoever sees me, sees God who sent me” is the scripture that captures her essence. It is hard for anyone to be ready when we are called Home, but no doubt Kristy had her table set and her homecoming celebration rolled out. We rejoice and are uplifted as we gaze to the sky knowing her legacy lives on in each one of us.

All donations can be sent to Crosspoint Church, crosspointelpaso.com/give in her name, Kristy Wilson. A meal train will be set up via family around her service end of May. Please contact Keely Reynolds with additional ways to help, text 512-450-3018.
