Ivan L. Watson, born on July 2, 1951, a resident of El Paso, Texas and Air Force veteran passed away on September 22, 2024. Ivan was a unique man who enjoyed reading, gambling, and sharing his seemingly endless knowledge with others. His family recalls late night poker games and how he kindly took on a sort of tour guide roll educating them while they played and explored with him during their visits. He was preceded in death by Alvin D. Watson (father), Angelina T. Watson (mother), Richard T, Watson Sr. USAF (brother). He is survived by his nephews, numerous great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and friends.


Services for Mr. Watson will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at

San Jose Funeral Home East, 10950 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, Texas 79935.

The funeral mass will follow at 10:15 am at

San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915.

The graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm at

Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, Texas 79906.

In Loving Memory of our Beloved Delia Montes Delia Montes, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four sons, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Delia was the heart of her family—a quiet force of love and loyalty. She was a beautiful mix of strength and softness—stern when needed, but always leading with unconditional love. Her presence was steady, her heart vast, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
