Amador Arzate, a cherished member of the El Paso community and a devoted family man, passed away on August 19, 2024, just a day shy of his 80th birthday. Born on August 20, 1944, in Mexico, Amador moved to the United States where he attended Fort Hancock High School. He went on to establish and operate the beloved local business, Temo y Teka Bakery and Tortilleria, which became a staple in his community.
Amador was a loving father to Jaime and Sandra, a caring father-in-law to Brenda, and a proud grandfather to Jaime, Jr. and Jackie. He is also survived by his brother, Arturo and sisters, Aida, Romana, and Luz Elena. His kind and generous spirit extended beyond his family to his friends and all who knew him.
A man of faith, Amador attended San Lorenzo Catholic Church. His hobbies included cooking, riding horses, attending equestrian events, gardening, and playing dominoes. These activities reflected his love for life and the joy he found in simple pleasures.
