Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at San Jose Funeral Home East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (915) 590-8700.
A mass will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, December 27, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd, followed by a committal service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., at 2:00 pm. Military honors will be rendered at graveside.
Victor (Bear) Barron, 67, passed away on December 15, 2024 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on March 16, 1957 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He was raised in El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his wife Martha Barron of 26 years. His son's Victor Barron Jr., Brandon Barron and Brian Barron. His sibling's, Juan Barron, Refugio Portillo, Mary Godin, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eduviges Barron, Refugio Barron, Eugenia Barron, Margarita Amaya, and Josefina Fausto. Victor went to Burges High School. He played the trumpet in the marching band and he also played in the local Sancho Brothers band. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps ( Semper Fi ) on September 1979. He proudly served his community with the El Paso County Sheriff's Department, Horizon City Police Department and El Paso Community College Police Department.. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, listening to music and grilling on the grill. He loved his Dallas Cowboys.
