Funeral Home San Jose Funeral Home (Eastside)
Yvonne “Bonnie” Sanchez Flores, loving mother, sister, and daughter went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.
Bonnie was born on November 18, 1962 in El Paso Texas to Ruben and Natalia Rojo Sanchez. She attended Loretto Academy and Father Yermo High School where she graduated top ten of her class. Throughout her life she raised two children and fostered several animals whom were the loves of her life.
Bonnie had a passionate nature for all animals who brought her immense joy throughout the years. Although she has passed, it is comforting to know she is reunited with her pets, Momo and Jack whom she adored. Over the years, Bonnie fostered several cats, kittens, and dogs in order to give them a better chance at life. She felt it was her path to help animals which she did every day of her life and, thus, left the world a better place.
Bonnie loved classic rock bands, such as Led Zeppelin and Queen, which fueled her love for playing and listening to music. Her free-spirited nature allowed her to make the best of every situation regardless of her lifelong struggle with chronic illness. Her infectious laugh and smile brought happiness to everyone in every situation. She was not only selfless but encouraged her family and friends to pursue their dreams with her kind and compassionate heart.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father Ruben Sanchez. She is survived by her mother, Natalia Estela Rojo Sanchez, her two brothers, Raymond, and Ruben, her three children, Vincent (Mark), Yajaira (Alan), Sergio (Johanna), and two grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 4pm-7pm, with a Catholic Scripture Service at 5:00 pm at San Jose Funeral Home- East on 10950 Pellicano Dr. El Paso, Texas 79935. In her honor we ask, on her behalf, to wear jeans and rock band t-shirts as she hated formal occasions. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations to be made in her honor to the Humane Society of El Paso, 4991 Fred Wilson, El Paso, Texas, 79906.
