With strong but broken hearts we announce the passing of our father/husband Willie Arana. He was born on October 22, 1945, to Ramon Arana and Hermelinda Moreno. He is survived by his wife of more than 30 years Mrs. Adelina Arana-Zamora, his 6 children, and his 9 grandchildren. To Willie nothing was more precious than his family. He was a caring and forgiving man to many people. In his youth he ran track and played basketball against the Harlem Globetrotters alongside his teammates Nolan Richardson and Bobby Joe Hill. One of his biggest accomplishments was becoming his own boss and thus began the Willie Arana Pest Control saga. Making new friends of customers and being able to support his family was something that he had much pride in. He touched many people from elders to the youth with his stories, help, and wise words of advice. Willie Arana will forever be remembered to his family, friends and the communities reaching from El Paso TX to Big Bend, TX. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will be at later date.
