Sylvia Dolores Pinon, 61, of El Paso, Texas, died peacefully as she mounted up and spread her wings while entering her eternal paradise on September, 26, 2020.
Her life journey began on May 19, 1959. Sylvia was a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, College of Engineering with a major in Industrial Engineering. On August 19, 1978 she married Oscar, her soul mate. On August 8, 1979 and October 25, 1980 she welcomed her two beautiful daughters, who served as two of the most important parts of her life, both daughters went on to graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso, following their mother’s footsteps.
Sylvia will be remembered for her bright smile, her sweet joyful spirit and her strength…and her pumpkin cookies. She loved reading novels into all hours of the night and could beat anyone at Scrabble. Watching The Big Bang Theory was on her daily routine as she loved Sheldon and told her husband he had some competition! Oh the places she went, Sylvia loved to travel and spent time in Singapore, New York and Denver…just to name a few.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 42 years Oscar S. Pinon, Jr; daughters Vanessa Pinon and Denice Pinon; her mother, Enriqueta Pena; brother Javier Pena and her adorable granddaughters Kelly and Janelle.
Her husband Oscar, lovingly cared for her in the last years of her life as she was a transplant recipient in 2011. We will be forever grateful for her organ donor and family who gave us nine more loving and glorious years with Sylvia…(we went to Disneyland)! The family gives them and everyone else who loved and cared for Sylvia their greatest and warmest gratitude.
