09/22/1953 - 02/26/2021
“The world lost a beloved grandmother, mother and sister, Norma Olivas, on February 25, 2021.
Norma was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, on August 22, 1953. From her early years, through her adult years, she remained the same person everyone came to understand, love and admire.
A humanitarian by nature, as well as a caring and concerned person is what many of her friends and colleagues would say about her. A hard working, courageous, fun, comical, one of a kind, thoughtful, encouraging and extraordinarily loving person is what our family will remember her by.
Although she held many titles both at home and in her various career paths, the title she was most proud of was being mom. A true blessing it was to have had her as a mom, grandma, sister and daughter.
We are proud of her as she fought with the heart of a lion until her last breath. Cancer may have taken her from us, but her legacy of values, life lessons and love, amongst the many wonderful memories we shared with her will live within us forever. She will be missed dearly and will never be forgotten.
Norma is survived by her sons Adrian and Juan Carlos, her brother Javier and her sister Martha. She was preceded in death by her brother Victor and both of her parents, Manuel and Paula.
Family and close Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Norma at San Jose Funeral Home, Saturday March 13th from 4 to 8p.m. The family will have a private funeral per Normas wishes.”
