After a brief battle with cancer, Maria Estela Flores, age 71, passed away on October 29, 2020 in El Paso, TX at the home of her beloved sister Irene Carrillo. Estela was born in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on March 25, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents: Juana Minga Ramirez (1994), Lucio Guillermo Ramirez (2006), her brother: Carlos Ramirez (2016) and her husband: Jose Ruben Flores (2017).

Estela is survived by her two sons: Jose Ruben Flores Jr, Enrique Flores, her grandchildren: Jose Ruben Flores III, Liliana Vanessa Flores, Daniel Noah Flores, Miranda Clara Flores. Estela is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Francisco Ramirez, Ubaldo Ramirez, Efren Ramirez, Lucio Guillermo Ramirez Jr, Cecilia Ramirez, Irene Carrillo, Olga Ramirez, Virginia Loera.

Estela was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, wife and sister. She was extremely proud of her family. She had an excellent sense of humor she would often share with her loved ones. Estela was a devout Catholic and belonged to St. Mark Catholic Church Women’s Auxiliary ministry in El Paso, TX.

Per Estela’s wishes, she will be cremated. The following service will take place prior to cremation: Viewing and Rosary on Monday, November 2, 2020 10:00AM-1:00PM, 12:00PM-1:00PM (Rosary) in Chapel “A” at San Jose Funeral Home 10950 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, TX 79935. There will be no mass. Post cremation, Maria will be interred with her husband at a later date at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park (1000 1st St, Gilroy, CA 95020).

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will completely understand if loved ones choose not to attend in person. San Jose Funeral Home will make all efforts to limit the number of attendees, for those who choose to pay their last respects in person.
