Our beloved, Marco Antonio Olivas, age 35, passed away the afternoon of Sunday, October 15, 2017 in his home in Las Cruces New Mexico. From his birth in El Paso Texas on Monday, August 9, 1982, to his untimely passing on Sunday, he brought joy and love to his family and friends throughout his life. He worked hard, yet he always found the time to enjoy the company and conversation with his family and friends. He truly lived life to the fullest. Mark, as his family and friends called him, really loved spending time with his nephews and nieces and had his unique traditions with each of them. The affinity people from every walk of life had with him was attributed to his genuineness and joyful spirit. You knew if Mark expressed that he loved you, he genuinely meant it. His presence would light up any room; he was the life of the party and anyone who he crossed paths with and engaged in conversation with him found themselves drawn in by his great energy, his charismatic smile and his contagious laughter. Mark had an appreciation and love for all genres of music, to include electronic dance music, eighties pop and nineties hip-hop to name a few. He frequently got to travel out of town with family and friends to enjoy EDM shows hosting his favorite djs. Mark loved eighties cult classics and had a vast collection of movies from every genre encompassing that era. His love for eighties pop culture, everything Star Wars, comic books and action figure collectibles are also amongst the things his family and friends knew him for. To say he left a void in our hearts is an understatement. He will forever be missed and never forgotten. He is survived by his mother Martha, his dad Martin, his brothers, Mario, Chris, Tony, his nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Marco touched are invited, Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. His prayer services will commence at 7:00 p.m.
