Magdalena M. Vazquez, 88 passed away January 18, 2023. She was born on November 23, 1934 in El Paso, Texas.  Magdalena grew up in Juarez, Mexico.  Later on in life, she moved to California where she attended beauty school.  She loved to knit blankets. She loved to dance and even won first place in a Jitterbug competition.  She loved shopping, socializing and sharing time with her family.  She took pride in cooking for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was very loving, witty and down to earth. She always found a funny nickname for everyone. Her family knew her by her trademark, which was her apron (delantal).

She is preceded in death by: her oldest son, Alberto Vazquez and parents Leonardo Menchaca and Hilaria Garcia.  Magdalena lovingly leaves behind:  Daughters – Virginia Nerio (Jesus Nerio), Evangelina Rodriguez (Felipe Rodriguez, Jr.). Sons – Juan Vazquez (Sandra Vazquez), Manuel Vazquez (Deborah Vazquez), and daughter-in-law Carmela Vazquez. She also warmheartedly, leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Magdalena will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends you are respectfully invited to attend a public viewing on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4pm-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at San Jose Funeral Home East, 10950 Pellicano Dr. El Paso, Texas 79935.
