It is with great sadness that the family of Luis M. Venegas announce his passing on November 19th, 2020. Luis was born October 18th, 1941 in El Paso, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, foster-parent, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his loving beautiful wife, Emma H. Venegas, his parents Aurora M. Venegas and Antonio B. Venegas, and sister Esther Venegas.
Luis was a lifetime resident of El Paso Texas. He retired from El Paso Independent School District where he worked as a custodian at Andress High School and Newman Elementary School. He also touched the community with generosity and kindness where he served as a foster parent for over 20 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Karline Martinez (Lionel), Christina Estupinan (Robert), Sylvia Badillo (Alfredo), and son Luis Venegas Jr. (Sandra). Grandchildren: Deanne Martinez, Lionel L Martinez Jr., Robert Estupinan Jr., Guy Estupinan, Charlie Estupinan, Raul Reyes, Alicia Badillo, Bryanna Badillo, Catalyna Badillo, Luis Venegas III, Sarah Venegas, Anthony Venegas, Stephanie Venegas, and Monica Venegas. Great Grandchildren: Bianca Mendoza, Angel Marie Mendoza, Alfredo Mendoza Jr, and Rita Mendoza. Siblings: Grace Robles, Delia Sanchez, Bertha Rodriguez, Lupe Venegas, Paulina Huerta, and Antonio Venegas.
We will always carry your memories in our hearts and you will forever be missed. You have rejoiced with the love of your life and our loving lord. We love you.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Catholic Scripture Service will commence at 12:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr. El Paso, Texas. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
