Jose “Joe” Melendez, Jr., 61, a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX, earned his Wings on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, losing a courageous battle to cancer. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins; and numerous friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. Joe graduated from Irvin High School and retired from Sun Metro. He was an avid Seattle Seahawk fan and always enjoyed being in the sports crowd. You could always find Joe playing softball or shooting a great game of pool. His presence was always known when he was in the room and his crazy sense of humor followed him wherever he went. May he Rest in Paradise! A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel El Paso, 1771 N. Zaragoza Rd. 79938.
