“Our beloved father, Jose Guevara, passed away on November 23, 2020 from complications of COVID-19. Our father is survived by his loving children: Jose Luis Rivera, Sylvia Elizondo, Leticia Tena, Theresa Ann Cantu, Raymond Joe Guevara, and Isaac James Guevara, and by his brothers: Alberto Guevara and Ramon Guevara. In addition, our father is survived by nineteen grandchildren and by five great-grandchildren.

Our father was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and retired from the City of El Paso after 27 years of service to the community of El Paso. Our father was a lifelong resident of Socorro, Texas and spent that lifelong residency with his loving wife, Rosalin Guevara, who were married to each other for over 50 years until the passing of our beloved mother in 2018 from complications of Dementia. Our loving parents are happily reunited in heaven and spending eternity in paradise, along side our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our father was well known for his kindheartedness, respectfulness, helpfulness, generosity, easygoing , entertainment, friendliness, and exemplary model as a loving and caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend. Our father enjoyed dancing, singing, guitar, playing his famous accordion, and bringing a warm-filled spirit of happiness to everyone around him. Our father will forever be missed by all those who loved and cared for him and by those who knew him well.

The beautiful memories of our father bring us everlasting peace, comfort, and happiness. And one day, we will meet again. To our dear father and mother, rest in peace.

Please join us for his viewing on February 6, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at San Jose Funeral Home, located at 10950 Pellicano Dr. in El Paso, TX.”
