Who would have thought the man we all counted on would leave us all with broken hearts. Jorge was called home on March 18th, 2021. Although he left us too soon, he lived a beautiful and prosperous 51 years of life. Jorge was born on April 15th, 1969 in Santa Catarina Nuevo León, but was raised in Magistral Durango. There he was raised by a strong-hearted woman whom we also recently lost on January 9th, 2021. His beloved mother, Domitila Saldaña. Jorge was the youngest out of 7, Leticia Gonzalez, Jesus Diaz, Luis Carlos Saldaña, Jose Luis Diaz, Juan Antonio Saldaña, and Xochitl Saldaña, who he loved very dearly. After moving to El Paso, Texas, Jorge met his wife Rocio at age 25, where they lasted 26 amazing, but short years of marriage. Together they had 3 children: Jeanette, Jorge, and Kassandra. Jorge had a tremendous amount of love for his family and would do anything and everything for them, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jorge worked as a driver at El Paso ECO Disposal for two years before being diagnosed with Cancer. He was a strong, loving, supportive son, husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend. He fought for his life every day until the end. Jorge had a contagious laugh that could make anyone else laugh. Jorge had a strong sense of humor, nothing could ever bring that spirit down. Jorge was always great company, he was able to make friends with just about anyone. Jorge found Jesus and became a devout Christian, he taught his children strong morals, respect, and loyalty. Jorge lost his battle to cancer and is the bravest person his children have ever met. They are extremely proud to call Jorge their father. Jorge left us all broken-hearted. Jorge, we love you and you will be missed. But we will see you again. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”-Winnie the Pooh Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East. Interment will be private.
