Frances Montelongo

El Paso, Texas – Frances Montelongo, June 4, 1939 – December 15, 2021.
On December 15, 2021, while surrounded by her children in her home, Frances Montelongo was called home to the arms of our Loving Lord and Savior.
Frances was a devoted wife to her husband of 49 years, Ralph Montelongo. She was the eldest of eight siblings and was a loving mother to her five children, Victor, David, Cyndi, Ruben, and Rafael. Frances was also a tenderhearted Grandmother who loved spending time with each of her seven grandchildren. She led her life as a dedicated, faithful, and generous servant of the Lord and set an example of selflessness, patience, and grace to all her family and friends.
As an Instructional Assistant in the El Paso Independent School District for 28 years, Frances assisted students with special needs and gave unconditionally to all she worked with. She was loved by her students and co-workers at MacArthur Middle School and developed lifelong friendships that continued past her retirement in 2003. Frances loved watching sports, tailgating at UTEP Miner football games, and having weekly lunches with family.
Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Ralph Montelongo.
Her family grieves their loss, but takes joy and comfort knowing that Ralph and Frances have been reunited in Heaven and will spend eternity with our Lord and Savior.
Visitation hours begin at 6:00 pm, followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd on December 22nd.
Mass service will be held at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church at 11:30 am on December 23, to be followed by a Graveside Service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
