It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loved one, Erica Lisa Gonzalez. Erica went to be with our Lord on December 20,2022. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend.
Erica was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Gonzalez, uncle, Margaro Gonzalez, grandparents, Sr. Miguel Gonzalez, Sra. Sara F. Gonzalez, and grandmother, Emilia Oaxaca. Erica is survived by her beloved son, Brandon Lee Clarke, mother, Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, stepfather, Rene Hernandez, sisters: Ariel Cassie Hernandez, Lou Renee Hernandez, and brothers, Eric Colten Hernandez and Miguel Gonzalez, Aunts, Gloria (Chaya) Dumith, Frances(Pacha) Gonzalez, uncle Trino Gonzalez, lety Oaxaca, Sylvia Oaxaca Perdue (Jim), and her extended family that includes, cousins, nieces, nephews, close friends, and her beloved dog kobe.
Erica Lisa Gonzalez was a proud veteran who served her country for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. She followed in the footsteps of her father, who also served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Erica received her Associates Degree from Grossmont College in San Diego, CA, then attended San Diego State Universit, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
Erica was a graduate of Bel Aire High School, El Paso Texas.
Erica was living in San Diego, CA, where she had just been promoted to Midday News Producer for TV station ABC 10. Erica has been and will continue to be missed tremendously.
Her sense of humor, contagious laugh, infectious smile, and love for her family and friends can never be replaced.
May Erica rest in peace!
