Emilia “Millie” S. Chavarria, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Millie is preceded in death by her husband Alfredo Chavarria Sr., son Eduardo “Eddie” Chavarria, and her parents Jose and Evangelina Sermeño. Millie is survived by her loving and caring children: Alfredo Jr. (Mayela), Alejandro (Myrna), Fernando, Armando, and her daughter Cynthia (George); granddaughters: Clarissa (Alexis), Briana (Danny), Emily, Carolina, and Abrielle; grandsons: Adrian (Jessica), Freddy, and Steven (Amber); great grandchildren: Isabella, Uriah, and Rosemary; and best friend, Becky Franco. Serving as her pallbearers are her sons, son-in-law George Galvan, and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Alexis Hernandez, Danny Estrada, and Jeff Silva. Millie’s strong relationship with the Lord and her love for family and friends will be forever remembered and missed. We have another guardian angel in heaven. Visitation for Millie will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer of the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East (10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX). The funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church (2301 Zanzibar Rd., El Paso, TX). Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
