In Loving memory of Christopher Joseph Diaz

February 16, 1985 – October 5, 2023

Christopher Joseph Diaz passed away on October 5th, 2023, at the age of 38. He was born on February 16th, 1985, to his parents Annette Leyva and Guillermo (Willie) Diaz. He was a humorous and loving son, father, brother and friend to many. Christopher was always known for his charm, his ability to make others laugh and most of all his kindness. He had an immense love for his family and close friends. He had a gift. He made every family member, friend or complete stranger feel like they were the most special person in the world. We were all blessed to know his warm spirit and witness his beautiful smile. Chris leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter, Madison Raquel, and stepdaughter Melody; devoted parents, his mother Annette Leyva, his father Guillermo (Willie) Diaz, and his stepmother Yara Diaz. Chris is survived by his brother Guillermo (Willie) Diaz Jr.; his sisters Vanessa Diaz and Briana Serna. His stepbrothers; Frank Valles and Donnie (Celia) Kersey, stepsisters; Yvette (Mark) Torrez and Danielle (Rudy) Jaquez. Chris’s role as an uncle was treasured by his nieces and nephews. His humor and laughter will always be remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chris was the life of the party and always the first one to dance. He will be missed on golf courses, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and on his dirt bike with his newfound passion for motocross. Chris’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on through the cherished memories shared by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a beacon of love and laughter. Visitation for Christopher will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX 79935. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Old Mission 131 S Zaragoza Rd. El Paso, TX, 79907, with the final resting place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd. Pallbearers will include Guillermo (Willie) Diaz Jr., William Diaz, Edward Leyva, Darren Ligon, Robert Macias, and Jacob Castaneda; Honorary pallbearers Joseph Leyva and Maxwell Diaz.
