12/28/1967 - 04/07/2021
On Wednesday, April 7th, 2021, Arturo Carreon Jr, loving son, uncle, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 53 due to COVID complications. A battle he bravely fought for three months. Jr. was born to Mary and Arturo Carreon in El Paso TX. As a child, he played soccer and baseball on his father’s team “The Patriots” and “The Eastwood Optimist”. Jr. went on to play varsity football at Hanks high school and graduated in 1986. In 1989 he met Arlene Arellano and devoted his life to her. They welcomed their first child together in 1990, and throughout the years welcomed two more daughters and many more pets. Jr was known for his loving heart, big smile, and keen sense of humor. As a loyal employee, he worked for SISD in the CNS department for 22 years. In his free time, he served the El Paso community by coaching his children’s little league football, baseball, and soccer teams. A humble man with modest values he enjoyed the simple things in life like movie nights with his wife, barbecuing with his family, and getting craft beers with his brother. We can only be thankful for what a strong and loving man he was when we all needed him to be. His presence will be greatly missed but his legacy will live in our hearts forever. Arturo Carreon Jr. is survived by his wife Arlene Arellano, his children Christian spouse (Corina), Alexis, Alanis, his parents Mary Helen and Arturo Carreon Sr., his brother John spouse (Donna), and his granddaughters Lena and Dyana. Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. at San Jose funeral Home East-East. Funeral mass will be Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Pallbearers for services are: John Carreon, Tony Carreon, Christian Carreon, Hector Arellano, Abel Arellano, and Arturo Govea.
