Armida Najera Reyes, age 82, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Armida was a proud graduate of El Paso High School class of 1956. She was a was a wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother, and business partner to her husband Jose Reyes, owner of Reyex Corporation. Jose was Armida’s first and forever love. They met at El Paso High School and were high school sweethearts. They were married for 61 years and lovingly raised seven children in a faith-filled home. Armida was the most beautiful, most amazing, loving, joyful, kind, funny, creative, generous, and hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, godmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, Eduardo S. Najera, her mother Margarita Almeraz Najera, and her brother Eduardo Najera. She is survived by her children and their spouses, a brother, 16 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Survivors are: Joseph David Reyes, Luz Flores, Rachel Elizabeth Reyes-Lawson, Michael Lawson, Christina Marie Reyes, Daniel Steven Reyes, Sandra Reyes, Laura Ann Reyes-Tapper, Larry Tapper, Katherine Margaret Reyes-Brooks, Steven Brooks, Jacqueline Suzanne Reyes-DaSilva, and Trevor DaSilva; brother Ricardo Najera; grandchildren Jennifer Lynn Reyes, Stephen Reyes-Lawson, Jonathan Philip Reyes-Lawson, Joseph Alan Lawson, Matthew Aliksander Reyes, Kassandra Danielle Angelinda Reyes, Joshua Elliott Tapper, Zach Brooks, Benjamin Michael Lara, Christopher Zander Lara, Madelyn Marie Brooks, Trevor Emmanuel DaSilva, Kimberly Christine Dasilva, Nathan David DaSilva, Shane Patrick DaSilva, Logan Michael DaSilva; great grandchildren August Ella DaSilva, and Noah James Lawson. Visitation will be on Friday, July 16th from 5:00-8:00 p.m., rosary at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East. Funeral mass will be on Saturday, July 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Ysleta Mission at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
