Alicia Terrazas, 93, of El Paso passed away Monday, June 13, 2022. She is survived by her sons; Manuel and Ricardo Terrazas.
Alicia Terrazas was a very strong woman. She was a hard worker and worked for many years at the Jean Factory. She was a caregiver for both of her parents. She liked to cook for everyone in the family, her grandkids and the adults as well. She was very happy when the family came over to her house. She helped out at the church. She sang there and had a very nice voice. Alicia took care of some of the son’s children by babysitting them. She was very involved with the family. She took care of her disabled husband Raul for many years. She worked very hard all her life. Alicia’s family were very poor but was able to overcome all obstacles in her life. She was very artistic and creative throughout her life.
Alicia was the first generation immigrant to make it to America. Alicia surpassed her siblings Isabel, Pedro and Ramon. She was oldest of all. She made it to the age of 93 and a half years old. She was the main branch for the Maldonado Family. Alicia leaves behind second generation Ruly, Manny and Richard with third and fourth and fifth generation behind.
Alicia’s dementia was a very cruel disease. Besides being bedbound for over three years it robs them of the memory’s ability to think and take care for themselves and carry on a conversation. Worst of all it takes away their dignity. At 93 years she would complain about body and bone pain. Back rubs were the only thing to calm her down. Getting old is great if you got your health. Being independent. But when your health goes one tends to wait it out until the good Lord calls upon you (it’s time). One tends to take life on a day by day basis. But if your heart is with God the transition to the other side will be met with joy to see all your loved ones on the other side. If you’re good you live forever. But if you’re bad you die.
When you die 1234567 all good children go to heaven. The trials and tribulations of life.

Visitation for Alicia will be at San Jose Funeral Home East on 10950 Pellicano Dr, Monday, June 27, 2022 from 9am to 11am with a Rosary at 10:00 am, funeral mass will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11:30am with final resting place at Evergreen East Cemetery.
