ALBERTO JAVIER GALLEGOS “El muchacho de la colita”, “Janito”, “Javy”, “Flaco” o “El Feo”. Así fue como muchos lo conocían en su taller Shades & Shadows Tinting, el cual manejo por más de 30 años. Y en todos los lugares que el asistía; ya fuera un torneo de billar, un show de carros o un club de motos.

Nacido el 22 de abril de 1968 en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México; Javier fue un mexicano en toda a extensión de la palabra. Su amor por su país y tradiciones es incomparable. Siempre uso con orgullo su ropa vaquera, su camisa bordada, sus botas de avestruz y sus sombreros. Amante de la música de mariachi, del tequila Tres Generaciones, de su whiskey Chivas con una cascarita de limón, de la salsa y las tortillas en cada comida y de su equipo favorito las Chivas rayadas del Guadalajara. De sus pasatiempos el juego de billar es en el que más se destacó, ganado una cantidad de trofeos y reconocimientos hasta nivel cuidad; así como también muchos trofeos por su troca Chevy 1957.

Javier fue un hijo, hermano, esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo ejemplar. Su prioridad fue cuidar a su familia y su lema siempre fue “si no puedo, me lo invento”. De todas las etapas de su vida, verlo convertirse en abuelito fue la etapa favorita de todos nosotros quien lo amamos. Fue un abuelo lleno de amor, paciencia y cuidado extremo, y su prioridad fue para cualquier cosa que involucrara a sus nietos y cualquier otro niño que le pusieran enfrente. La manera en que podía quitarles cualquier dolor y sacarles una risa en medio de lágrimas puede ser descrita como un acto de magia. El nunca se detuvo en agradar y consentir a sus nietos, ya fuera jugar con su nieta Olivia y vestirse de princesa el mismo, o jugar con Betito en el patio corriendo y brincando con las trocas monstruo, aunque el llegara exhausto del trabajo.

Con esa sonrisa inmensa y contagiable lo vamos a tener en nuestros corazones siempre. El amor que nos dio fue tanto, tan inmenso y poderoso que nunca se nos acabara. Podríamos estar enojados y cuestionarle a Dios, pero mejor le damos gracias porque la vida de Javier no se mide con los años, si no con el amor que dejo plantado en cada persona que toco.

Alberto Javier Gallegos, 55 años, entro a la vida eterna el sábado 02 de diciembre de 2023, en El Paso, TX. Le sobrevive su mejor amiga y amada esposa por 33 años; María de los Angeles Montañez de Gallegos, sus hijos; Flor G. Gallegos de Alvarado, Norma Adriana Gallegos, Angel Javier Gallegos, Crystal Gallegos, Erick & Victoria Gomez, Andres Rodriguez, su hijo adoptivo; Anthony Lugo; sus hermosos nietos; Olivia Marian & Oliver Alberto Torres-Gallegos y sus yernos; Alberto Torres y Jonathan Alvarado. También le sobreviven su madre Elsa Gallegos de Nava, su hermanas y hermano quienes el siempre cuido; Verónica Castro, Yvonne Gallegos, Myrna Gallegos, Araceli Geeseman, Adriana Maldonado y Jose Gallegos. Así como también muchos amigos y familiares para recordar y honrar su memoria. A Javier le precedieron en la muerte sus abuelos Eduardo y Josefa Gallegos y su papa, Eleazar Nava.

Se llevará a cabo una celebración de su vida y una visitación de 3:00pm a 8:00pm con un rosario a partir de las 7:00pm el miércoles 13 de diciembre del 2023 en la funeraria: San Jose Funeral Home – East ubicada en 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX 79935. Una misa comenzara a las 10:00am el jueves 14 de diciembre de 2023 en la iglesia católica San Marcos, 11700 Pebble Hills Blv, El Paso, TX 79936. Luego estaremos en el cementerio Mount Carmel a las 11:30am, ubicado en 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907. Los servicios han sido encomendados a San Jose Funeral Home- East.

ALBERTO JAVIER GALLEGOS, “The guy with the ponytail”, “Janito”, “Javy”, “Flaco”, or “El Feo”. That is how many knew him at his shop, Shades & Shadows Tinting, which he along his business partner, Albert Ochoa, ran for more than 30 years. And in all the places that he attended, whether it was a pool tournament, a car show, or a motorcycle club.

Born on April 22, 1968, in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; Javier was a Mexican in every sense of the word. His love for his country and traditions is incomparable. He always wore his denim jeans, his embroidered shirts, his ostrich boots, and his cowboy hats with pride. Lover of mariachi music, Tres Generaciones tequila, his Chivas whiskey with a lime peel, salsa and tortillas at every meal and his favorite soccer team, Las Chivas de Guadalajara. Of his hobbies, billiards is the one in which he stood out the most, winning several trophies and recognitions up to city level; as well as many trophies for his 1957 Chevy.

Javier was an exemplary son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His priority was always to take care of his family and his motto was always “if I can’t, I’ll invent it”. Of all the stages of his life, watching him become a grandpa was the favorite stage for all of us who loved him. He was a grandpa full of love, patience, and extreme care, and he always put first anything that involved his grandchildren and any other child that was placed in front of him. The way he could take away any pain and bring laughter out of tears can be described as an act of magic. He stopped at nothing to please his grandchildren, whether it was playing with his granddaughter Olivia and dressing up as a princess himself or playing with his grandson Betito in the back yard running and jumping around with his monster trucks, even though he arrived exhausted from work.

With that immense and contagious smile, we will always have him in our hearts. The love he gave us was so much, so immense and so powerful that we will never run out. We could be angry at God and question His ways, but we rather thank Him, because Javier’s life is not measures by the years he lived, but by the love he left planted in each person he touched.

Alberto Javier Gallegos, age 55, entered eternal life on Saturday, December 03, 2023, in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, friend, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 33 years; Maria de los Angeles Gallegos; his dearest children; Flor (Gallegos) Alvarado, Norma Adriana Gallegos, Angel Javier Gallegos, Crystal Gallegos, Andres Rodriguez, Erick and Victoria Gomez; his sons in law; Alberto Torres and Jonathan Alvarado, and his wonderful grandchildren whom he adored; Olivia Marian and Oliver Alberto Torres-Gallegos. He is also survived by his beloved sisters and brother; Veronica Castro, Yvonne Gallegos, Myrna Gallegos, Araceli Geeseman, Adriana Maldonado, and Jose Gallegos, along with many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory. Javier is preceded in death by his grandparents; Eduardo and Josefa Gallegos and his father; Eleazar Nava.
